The entity known as Epoch is the daughter of the cosmic entity once known asEon, and took over Eon's role as the sponsoring entity of the Protectors of the Universe when she died. Epoch required Quasar's help to hatch from her egg, due to Thanos' interference with Eon's body, and thus womb.
